WHAT ARE THE BEATITUDES in the Bible all about? A beatitude is defined as supreme blessedness. Who doesn't want that?
These Beatitudes (B-Attitudes) are teachings in which Jesus describes the attitudes and actions that should characterize His followers and disciples.
As His disciples let's all progress together.
What does it mean to be "poor in spirit?"
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is
the Kingdom of Heaven." Matthew 5: 3
Are you in a season of mourning? Take hold of the promise that you will be comforted.
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5: 4
Have you ever considered meekness as NOT being a weakness? Meekness is wrapped in humility just like Jesus. It's a gentle strength.
"Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth." Matthew 5: 5
What Satisfies Us? Are We Living A Life That's Fulfilled? What Are We Hungry For? There's only one place we can be satisfied and fulfilled.
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled." Matthew 5:6
Where are we on the mercy scale? How do we show mercy to those who don't deserve it?
"Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. " Matthew 5: 7
What does being pure in heart look like? What are the rewards for being pure in heart?
"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." Matthew 5: 8
Would you consider yourself to be a peacemaker? "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God." Matthew 5: 9
Are you being falsely accused and persecuted? How did Jesus respond? Did He retaliate?
"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5: 10
